What that article reveals more than anything else is the endemic extent of Stockholm Syndrome towards united contained within our media. Sad fucks pulling on their pud about a myth they were complicit in creating. Created for reasons of commercial expedience, rather than any lingering sense of romance.

I would, however, like to go on record to thank the Glazers for regenerating Manchester.

I thought we played quite well against a team full of top (but out of form) players looking to climb up the table just like us.
A game against Chelsea was always going to be a tight affair.
Having said that, 3rd place is extremely difficult now.

Average points required to get 3rd place (average of last 5 seasons): 75
Equivalent points per game: 1.97

MU points this season: 30
Difference to get 3rd place: 45 points
MU points per game this season): 1.57
MU points per game required to come 3rd: 2.37

Basically we have to win the equivalent of 15 out of our next 19 games.
That is title-winning form.
Unless the teams above us show a massive inconsistency, I expect LVG to leave at the end of the season.

I've lived in Manchester all my life and in Stretford since the mid-90s. Watching their current travails is the first time these twats have ever lifted my spirits.
