I hope to hear tomorrow about LVG losing his shit after some journo comes out with "Will Rooney start".
He was angry last week about Rooney questions, shirley someone is going to ask and see if he goes off.

That will hopefully be every week for the next four years.

Haha, i can barely believe it tbh, that is a hell of a pickle they are in as Rooney will kick up a right old fuss if he thinks they want to amend the contract.
300k a week for 4 years is insane and terrible business. Everyone could see he was on a downward trajectory with the concensus that he was done and so it has been proved.
If i were the Glazers i would be hiring some hard ex boxer types to give the person responsible some pointers how they could be more efficient in their position.

Can't see how his contract could be amended without his agreement.
I'm quite sure they're stuck with it for the next 4 years

Was awful business that contract in terms of "on the pitch" football.... But I wonder, how much have they made and continue to make
in image rights with the FIFA Cover boy wearing the Red shirt?
They'll want rid anyway as he is with Nike (still) and they've gone with Adidas.

He rinsed them, and probably his agent used City to tie up the deal.

Apart from media talk and the mib Tramps outside his gate. Were we ever in for him?

We'd never know.... I'm glad we didn't sign him but I personally think we were in for him for non-footballing reasons, such as our hookup with Nike,
And global brand awareness increase due to signing the "goldenboy"

He's shit, United know his is, but EA Sports/Nike and all the rest of the corporate jollies want to keep churning him out for their profit on the kid demographic.

It is a fair point to consider. My opinion is Rooney shirt sales have been dwindling for a while now. There is only so long they can pull the wool over the fans eyes.

Kids want to run away after scoring a screamer or something shouting "AGUEROOOOOOOOO" or have their mates say "he is like Silva the way he makes our school team tick" and such.
The tall kid who gets a header will get called Kompany for a few days as he is usually stuck in defence, the lad who bursts through will be expected to do a "Yaya special" every time he gets the ball.

That is the stuff kids relate to, not a borg like collective of football lifeblood sucking drones. Cantona and the rest were gods to my red mates growing up and that wow factor that sells shirts and captivates kids has long since left Rooney. In fact it has deserted the whole club.

He can't be that much of a bargening chip for Utd's deal makers anymore can he ?

Utd fans can console themselves with the fact they seem to have arrested the fall from the top where as Rooney is in an irreversible decline.
He will never be anything but a hinderance at best for them now and he will not give a shit.
