Ha ha ha!! Was it him, his agent or the deluded rags who thought up this clause?

Could only be the rags, probably spin it somehow in order to make it look like they're signing real potential whilst knowing they will never have to pay out. He has to be just about the worst player at the swamp, even considering the number of contenders for that title.
