I'm no financial expert as my bank account will testify but despite this news which isnt great, they will still overtake Real Madrid as the richest as their revenues are still growing.

Richest is a misnomer. They aren't the richest. They don't have the most cash reserves and their profits will take a big hit next season but they are expected to have the highest turnover.

But turnover means fuck all.

They won't you're quite correct and they will get it right at some time.

But as I say "richest" is bollocks. It just means they have the most cash coming in. Who's richer, the guy earning £1m per year who spends 1,040,000 and is in debt or the guy earning £500,000, has no debt and saves 100,000 per year to his bank account?

For that quarter and next season they will be £50m down on CL and match day income due to being out of the CL.

This is why the market is reacting the way it is vis a vis their share price.

You also have to take their debt into account along with their market capitalisation and cash reserves.
