Does he hold much sway anymore at old Trafford or is he more ambassadorial these days? I don't think his opinion would count for much, if he had reservations about how Jose conducts himself why do they look the other way to family man Ryan's exploits?
The whole football club board is "ambassadorial" (to use Gill's description) which I take to mean irrelevant. I can't see Mourinho being a Glazer/Woodward type of manager but he would be someone that Baconface might well want. So I reckon it's him and his allies who are making all the noise about Jose.

But I'm an ethical auditor, with 30yrs experience in China and much of SE Asia and can tell you that Nike ethical code of practice is one of the most robust. Many years ago things were different.
And I stand corrected.
At least you've placed my guilty conscience at rest regarding buying our club gear

Jamie RedKnapp and the like will have built strong relationships with the likes of Giggs, I mean they've both played in the same league for many years and their paths will cross ways....

He ain't gonna turn around and say "Giggs will be shit" is he.... even if he thinks that underneath.

Whatever a celebrity sports person says take with a pinch of salt as its usually Tosh.

Jamie Redknapp "Ryan Giggs has the makings of a great manager".

What the fuck is that based on???

Nothing other than the line sky want to take.

Either that or he wants him in a job so he doesnt have to worry about him banging his wife whilst he is busy.

Fuck me - some of the comments to their tributes on twitter showcase exactly what fans these are...

Shocking to say the least...

Does anybody know if utd looked after the families of the dead? I always hear how they milked the money from it. I want to get my facts right, google only goes on how they carried on rebuilding etc.

Afaik they sold the houses they were in and simply kicked the families out. I am sure someone will know for sure but that is my understanding of the situation.

I didn't think I could hate Mourinho or United any more, but if this happens it's going to the next level.

Absolute match made in heaven it has to be said though.

Why do people keep saying that the eye-gouger at the swamp is a match made in Heaven?

It's much more like a match made in hell, as that's where both entities deserve to be!

The ironic thing about all this is that Louis Van Gaal has taught Jose Mourinho everything he knows.. tactics, both stubborn.. only difference is LVG has coached for longer and internationally. So they are basically getting a Van Gaal-lite.. but because Mourinho has a good PR team and agent they can get away with it.. plus he is popular with the media (has mates working in Fleet Street) and he is considered good looking so that gets him a free pass. He is basically a parody of himself now. Too much baggage and not worth the hassle anymore

Turmoil in global stock markets, combined with poor form on the pitch, has wiped $500 million (£345 million) off Manchester United’s value this year.

The football club's New York-listed shares have slumped 18.5 per cent from $17.88 at the end of 2015 to $14.52, dragging United’s value to below $2.4 billion (£1.6 billion).

Rivals Manchester City were valued at $3 billion (£2 billion) in December when they sold a 13 per cent stake to Chinese investors for £265 million.

Gutted.
