Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has responded angrily to speculation about his job after it emerged Jose Mourinho is in talks with the club.

The BBC has learned that former Chelsea boss Mourinho could be set to take over at United this summer.

Asked about his future, Van Gaal, 64, accused media of "inventing" the story and said there was no need for United to issue any kind of denial.

before you start I'm not on Sterlings case and think he will be a good signing for us in the long run, but for all the laughing at Martial ( whatsisname ) and his price tag i think that even if he meets all targets for full add ons to cost 56 million and we end up paying 50 for Sterling, they got the better deal

Would that be the same Sterling who has started less games and scored more goals? Or the Sterling that hasn't been afforded a consistent run in the team by a below average manager?
Maybe it's the Sterling that was the only Premier League player to get voted into the Champs League team of the group stages?

Sterling is English, there's a tax for English players. The price tag isn't his fault!
 
Daily mirror on Saturday, Robbie Savage wrote 'I can see Un!$ed unveil Jose Moronio on the day that Pep tales charge at City, to steal their thunder' or words to that effect. Fast forward a few hours and my bandmate comes out with the very same statement to two other unfortunates. Each one laps it up as if that crank taking over is gonna make everything just dandy.
 
Just a thought, ok all the utd ex players have been largely shit as managers, Hughes is a decent mid table man i will say that though.
But on the whole, cack, so why is it Barca have produced Pep and Enrique in quick succession.

Is it the setups there and utd respectively? i often heard bacon was aloof which would also suggest he kept his cards close to his chest.
So with that you can see why Giggs has no fucking clue and others have failed largely. They were trained by his goons but never got shown much in any way towards helping them learn managerial skills?
Does Barca's setup act like a huge open library of info available to all or is it just random luck?

yes thats right Rahaam Sterling, the only Sterling in our squad, i didn't say the price tag was his fault just that for the price of both them i think Martial is the better player and so they got the better deal

I'm not sure you're right on your first assertion.

As much as it pains me to admit it, Whatshisname has done very well for scum, but no better than Raheem has done for us.

Sterling already has one more goal - 10 - than Martial, though I don't know how many assists each of them has this season.

Of course, none of us knows what the future holds, but I think it's a bit premature to be claiming that Martial will turn out to be a better acquisition for the rags than Sterling will be for us.

It's down to the setup bud... Look at where Pep and Luis started their managerial careers.... Barcelona B team.
This is why we installed Vieira in our EDS team, and have now shipped him to NYCFC - this gives him game experience. The ability to lose matches without big pressure, and focus on working on a system to win.
He's not thrown in the deep end. Same with Pep and Luis with the B team at Barca.
whereas the raggies such as Neville (Valencia) are thrown right in there and have been spanked.
Giggs might be a successful manager, who knows? but if history shows us anything it's that he has no managerial experience in this league and he'll be spanked.

Rags seem to forget SlurAlex managed 4 teams, yes 4 teams before he became the Vermin manager.
And even then he was very close to being sacked when there.

I'm happy with Sterling, wanted us to sign him and like what he can offer us in certain games, do i think Martial in our team of attack at all costs rather than possession football at the swamp would have had more of an impact than Sterling ? yes i do. i think he's got better control, stronger, tougher mentally, just as quick if not quicker and a better finisher, just my opinion and i may well be wrong.
it was more to do with reading all the Whatsisname comments and stuff about his price laughter, i take the piss about a lot of things... Boring...the new Ronaldo etc but i don't give it them about Martial as i feel it will really bite me on the arse, they spent 300 odd million is it ? law of averages said they would sign 1 good one

like i say its just my opinion

Spent 300m and are 6 pts behind us who are treading water at the minute.
That's how far we've come and how far they've sank.
Martial is a good player but not worth the fee paid for him.
Monaco have had your pants down there pal.

I remember Munich happening, the reaction around Manchester and my dad also a big Blue taking me to the first match after the Disaster. Men were openly crying.

I also remember the very poor way the rags treated the families of the deceased and the survivors. Even people like Billy Foulkes had to sell all his medals to make ends meet in later life.

I also remember the press warning for months that the 2008 derby which conveniently got scheduled in early February 'was going to be sabotaged' by City fans.

I also remember the 'charity match' eventually where the 'World's Biggest Club' got to the fans to pay to help the families. Stewards, gatemen, and others gladly worked for no wages whilst Cantona got paid £60k in what was pushed in the press a 'Cantona's Comeback'. Other wealthy players and ex players also took generous expenses out of the takings.

What I do NOT remember is much commemoration of the event in the 60s, 70s, and 80s but it started becoming a big and profitable PR event in recent years, especially post Princess Diana.

Over the years I have seen the cynical way the club has cynically used a tragic accident for financial and PR gain whilst playing down their own poor treatment of those involved, so it is little wonder that somebody from Blackburn born over 30 years after the event seeks to promote his own brand out of something that hit all Mancunians hard at the time.

What a tacky disgusting club they are.
