The Mirror reporting rooney played the full 90 mins with knee ligament damage bad enough to keep him out for a couple of months, thats impossible.something smells fishy

That might be interpretation. van Gaal said he wanted to finish the match and try to salvage a point. I read that to mean he got hurt towards the end and just played with it. If it happened as Keane came on, there were still 8-9 minutes to go. If it happened then, they'd have only had 10 men on the pitch.

If Mourinho is going Utd, Guardiola coming to City does not sound too satisfying after all....
What they do is of no concern to us. What's Mourinho won in the last 5 seasons? - a title in Spain, a Copa del Rey and the League Cup. Winning things at Real Madrid is hardly a challenge is it?

Much rather have PG than JM. The latter's time has gone.

Even if Pep loses both games it's only 6 points out of a possible 114. Guardiola is a better manager and will attract better players than united as we will have CL football and they won't.

Duncan Castles reporting in The Times that there is no agreement or even understanding with Mourinho.

Bless them, little Cherubs like this will be absolutely crestfallen...

You have to feel for them, you really do.

Why would anyone think Pep would lose both games though?

Guardiola has only lost 3 times in 16 games against Mourinho, and that spans Mourinho being at 3 different clubs. Smart money would be on Guardiola every single time.

I don't think he would lose twice, I was merely trying to ease the fears of another poster by looking at the bigger picture of a 38 game season. Personally I can't wait to see the rivalry after seeing the 5-0 demolition Pep inflicted on Mourinho at Barcelona.

The big difference I believe is, Mourinho is the proven one for the PL where as Guardiola hasn't exactly faced any real adversity in any of his jobs. Mourinho knows how to build teams like he did with Porto, Inter and last year's Chelsea side. Yes I agree his Real madrid job wasn't much impressive. I hope I'm wrong about all this but my general instinct tells me Mourinho is the better trained for the PL. I do want Guardiola to succeed here.
Didn't 'The Proven One' get sacked recently for failing?
