Pardon my ignorance, but what did Aguero cost us? I was under the the assumption that it was 32 plus add-ons.

£31.5m plus add-ons as revealed by football leaks in March 2016, proving beyond doubt that the media love to add on a significant percentage to tansfer fees where City are involved. Even that was paid in 3 instalments. Probably the greatest bargain in football history. I don't know how to post links but google "Football leaks" + Aguero.

To put that in context, Liverpool paid £35m for Andy Carroll the same year.

Didn't miss by much, I should probably spend more time in the pub.

I wonder if he has in inherent health/injury issue?

Or perhaps it's just that he's not anything special and it's just the usual sycophantic rag loving media pandering to their 60 thousand trillion billion fans and making this out to be a huge transfer for both player and club.

Andy Carroll?!!? Ha fookin ha!!!!

Hilarious isn't it. Liverpool and united have always had a policy of inflating transfer fees to ensure tha only they could afford the top players and strip other clubs of theirs.

Remember Anderson ? Cost the rags £28.3m in 2007/8 the season before the Sheikh bought us. We bought David Silva for £25.8m and Yaya Toure for £28m in 2011. Their current predicamenr has been a long time coming. Long may it continue.

The BBC irritatingly refer to United twice in that article as the 'Red Devils' which always strikes me as being a forced nickname and in line with American sports franchise marketing.
If they want a nickname what's wrong with 'Rags? Not only short and crisp it also has the benefit of 80 to 90 years of Mancunian tradition.

I think you'll find Liverpool paid minus £20m for Carroll. This was the evolution of the 'scouse maths' syllabus in English schools. Most Journalists have since graduated.

Just taken a trip to redcafe
It's fun sometimes

They're debating if Kdb is better than Beckham and you can guess which way it's going.

Beckham apparently definitely better as his crosses were perfect.
Ignoring that with close to 200 games less at City, he's only 15 assists down on the best crosser ever in the history of football

Beckham was very limited in his repertoire. He could cross the ball accurately and take a great free kick but he only crossed the ball at the first opportunity because he couldn't beat a full back. He couldn't run, head the ball or make a tackle either. KDB is the better player by a country mile.
