Interesting why the bbc, Simon Stone in particular, feel the need to do United's job for them.
He's dug up a picture of Ighalo as a kid in Nigeria wearing a united top, claimed that Barcelona wanted him but he turned them down, and current interest from other premier league clubs, because he only wanted United. Are we supposed to buy that? You know what, if United fans do, or want to, then good luck. He'd only contemplate leaving the healthy oasis that is China currently, for Old Trafford. Sounds legit. Who said it? Stone? Oh, absolutely true then.
This, from a player who went to the Chinese superleague, presumably on no wage to promote harmony and the game in general? So luckily United are paying no loan fee and no wage, because nothing has been mentioned. Great move in that case.
Who is he trying to convince? End of the day, how many goals he gets will determine his success. Not that he is allegedly a boyhood fan and has read the preprepared script, not that he allegedly could have been playing for Barcelona in outer space, or that he couldn't wait to get out of China fast enough, be it Manchester or Mogadishu, to escape the outbreak of coronavirus there. Which stone doesn't mention as a factor at all, by the way.
The bias is just staggering. Stone may as well out himself as an exclusive promoter of United propaganda and have done with it. I'd not care, if it wasn't the BBC and their unjust methods of public funding just to promote such tripe.
And after all that, they'll still have a battle to quality for Europe at all. Of course, there's is no angle to suggest that Woodward is aware of this and preferrd a loan incase the kitty isn't as big next season, sponsors and fairweather fans are growing inpatient with United's lack of success and noodle sales may well take a nosedive.
Nooooo, Mr Stone says this is definitely the corner being turned. Honestly. And who wouldn't trust Mr Stone?
