Sly Sports News understands....

United.

Dybala’s wage demands were to excessive.

Dybala didn’t show the commitment or desire to come and play for United.

According to James Ducker, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is “determined only to bring in players who are fully committed to being part of the club’s project.” It was quite clear Dybala didn’t fit the prerequisites, nor did his requests of wanting “parity with United’s top earners, such as Alexis Sanchez, David De Gea and Paul Pogba, and there are also believed to have been complications over the player’s image rights.”

Outside United’s PR machine to save face, Dybala snubbed United.

PS. No mention of United not being in the CL.

The Sanchez effect is going to really hurt them over the next few years

I said at the time the ramifications of them stopping City getting him (which is the only reason they went for him in the first place) by giving him a blank cheque would harm their team for years to come. As even when they manage to get him off the books (and hes in no rush) the average wage has risen considerably as a result.

You saw them lose Herrera as he wanted 200k+. Rashfords now on 200k. Pogba on 350k. De Gea similar.

Theyll never get a world class player on less than 500k while Sanchez is there. And even when hes gone, unless they somehow manage to win a league or champs league, theyll always have to pay a fortune in wages and agents fees.

Long may it continue!

Dybala wasn't so stupid after all...it's clear now that the top players are not interested in joining United...unless they get paid half a million a week.
Can’t really blame Dybala tbf. Only 12 months ago he was one of the most sought after players in Europe. This is probably the biggest move of his career, and United are in disarray. He probably looks at the likes of Pogba and Sanchez (and before that Di Maria, Depay etc) and understandably has reservations. Genuinely can’t think of the last player who has joined United that you would say was an unqualified success?!

I wonder when this will dawn on their fan base ? They are in such a mess as a club for me, can't blame Maguire for taking their offer, but he's not helping his career imho, he'll still play for the national side, but how is ogs going to improve him, terrible move, apart from financially.
