Well he’s in the same league as Alex Higgins then, he told me to Piss Off when i asked for his autograph in Cheadle when i was about 11

Brian Close did the same to me in 1977, when playing for Somerset. I was 14 at the time and he just sat there and waved me and several other youngsters away, though the rest of the were happy to do so, as did Geoff Arnold and some of his Surrey team-mates.

I have never forgiven Close.
