United thread 2019/20

I cant believe United are complaining about Penalties not be awarded to them this year. Some interesting stats out there dispelling what he says - They have had more than anyone, they've had 1 out of every 4 penalties awarded this season. But this was the best:

Utd are not scoring many goals. That would lead you to think that they are not creating many chances or taking many shots. You would then suppose that they are not spending that much time in the oppositions 18 yard area. Yet, hey presto, they have this absurd quota of penalties in their favour. Some things will never change with that lot. Luck and favouritism in abundance.

If you are ever having a bad day, just remember someone did this:

That's aged well ;-)

Some rumours suggesting United may target Ousmane Dembélé in the winter transfer window - presumably this could be linked to a renewed effort to bring Neymar in
Neymar: I will sign for Manchesh' Yoonated for £2m a week after tax and I want you to build me that beach that you promised Ronaldinho..........

My point is that we must never take on these attitudes.
United have had them and still have them, and it's one of the factors fucking up their club.
"We are Manchester United" therefore "we" should win everything. It doesn't work like that and God prohibit we should ever get into that mindset.
Even the greatest empires fall - but especially when they convince themselves they are untouchable.
'We're Man United, we'll do what we want'!

*Sick in mouth*

I can honestly see them getting zero points. Newcastle are desperate and this is exactly the kind of fixture they need to get some momentum. Unfortunately I can see the Dippers steamrolling the Rags and Norwich are a decent side who will fancy their chances. Can you imagine the Rags with 9 points off 13 games and in the bottom four. Oh, happy days.
I’d rather they had 10 points from 13 games tbh.

They remind me of how we were in the early/mid 90s. Desperately trying to cling on to the immediate past, bringing well known club men in to try and keep the traditions rather than actually concentrating on the real problems on the pitch. Whilst we largely stood still for a decade, they went stellar.
They have a massive advantage now in terms of finance but until they get the right football men in there making the decisions, they’ll struggle in my book. They’ll be envious as fuck that the two best managers in the world belong to their city and historical rivals and aren’t spending ridiculous money on huge names. Instead they’re taking talented players and turning them into monsters.
Big season for Solskjaer, even with January funds. Needs to turn it round quick*

*needs to keep doing what he’s doing, the parrot headed hobbit.
City are united’s ‘historical rivals’, not Liverpool. Before the 1970’s the united v Liverpool fixture was a non-event, relatively speaking. I’d read up on your history if I were you.
