United thread 2020/21

Going back to when that rancid club booted out the survivors/relatives of the Munich disaster, does anyone know if the media of the day gave sing the the vermin some stick over it? Bringing their disgusting actions to the attention of the rest of the world?
Pretty much as Blue Mist says. Huge sympathy at the time for the club. I didnt hear about the poor treatment of survivors and families for quite a few years when stories leaked out. All that time there was very little commemoration and flowers laid by small groups of fans on the anniversary were quickly removed like litter.
Then the club found out the marketing possibilities publicising the event held. We know the rest. Shameless and disgusting.
Harry Gregg was described as a United hero when he died. But to many ITK he was a hero for the efforts he made for fellow survivors and families. Even when the charity match took place modern day fans were the ones who paid for what the 'biggest club in the world' had a duty to do.
Bastards then and bastards now. The book called the Lost Babes previously mentioned in this thread gives the whole sorry picture from a United fan's perspective.

Nope they didn't. Not a word. Mind you Munich was never mentioned then by anybody. They only started having a memorial match when they realised they could milk the publicity. This was before players handed out free school meals of course
Good job the recent school free meals were not with the meat supplied by Louis Edwards.

Rags in for Sergio in the summer, according to the press Lol.
Well at least we wouldn't lose another Derby and by the time he's scored the 6th own goal in 3 matches they might just realise..... Nah make that 12 own goals in 6 matches.

Still not enough? Are you saying Noddy is stupid?
