United thread 2020/21

I know the vast majority of plastic ‘couldn’t-get-a-ticket’ rags have taken human stupidity to a height only previously explored by Baldrick, but there must be a line that even these cretinous lemmings must reach before they see the reality of what that horrendous club are doing to its own supporters?

And it’s not exactly new to the un-enlightened ones, during the Pisscan days they were peddling the same old tired clichès just before transfer deadline day - Tranny, Messi, Bale, Snjeider et al. Didn’t any of these feeble-minded
bandwagon passengers ever stop to think their club were leading them a merry dance back then?

They say you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. When it comes to the rags I’d say: “Are you sure about that?”
Yep, it's all a cunning plan.

We have SSN on the laptop on mute, and I’ve just noticed a reporter in Dortmund.

I can only guess at what he’s rep on, but I’d imagine that they're still banging the "Sancho to the rags" drum.

A complete and utter waste of time, as BVB have announced today that Sancho will not be joining the Trafford wankers, as they missed the 10th August deadline.

They're like a dog with a fucking bone!
never understood why reporters do that, turn up at teams grounds to discuss/report players transfers....do they think the player in question is just come walking out....?

I'm sure that if/when they sign Sancho just like when we signed Diaz it will be held up as an example of how broken football is given the ailing finances of lower league clubs at the moment.

Or how the media brushed over Arsenal making 55 employees redundant in the same week they offered Willian nearly 300k a week.

No. They own a network of shitty shopping malls akin to Stratford Mall.
The Glazers' shopping mall business, First Allied Corporation,is shrouded in secrecy and doesn't publish annual accounts. Business analysts (Dun and Bradsreet) estimated the annual revenue from First Allied at just £23m last year and the firm still owes hundreds of millions from mortgages on its crumbling retail malls. This was all pre-covid so the current situation is much worse.
Their other source of income is the NFL team Tampa Bay Buccaneers but the club has been devastated by Covid and is now playing in empty stadiums. They face a loss of at least £300m in revenues.
Meanwhile the main cash cow, Man United, has got total pre-Covid liabilities of £1.22bn and ESPN claims they are about to announce trading losses of more than £100m within the next two weeks.
You don't need to be a financial genius to see that there is a financial catastrophe looming here.
At what stage do you think the UK press will decide this is a bigger story than the fake news Sancho saga?

But there's no value in the market! Why don't people listen to the Old GPC?

Just don’t want them to go bust to quickly. The last thing we want if them to be sold to some dirty oil money Arab ’state’.

The only downside is it hastens the day when someone with deep pockets takes United over. The longer the Glazers hang on the better. The share price has plummeted by 30 per cent since January making it easier for investors but at the same time their huge burden of debt makes it less attractive. I still think the Saudis will come in, and when they do, they will be welcomed by the PL with open arms, not blocked like the Newcastle bid.
