Not sure but that £1.22bn was 18/19 financial year so it must have increased significantly since then. It must be well North of £1.5bn by now. It means that whoever takes over the Rags will need to spend at least £2bn on clearing debts and improving the stadium just to stand still. The purchase price alone could be another £2bn. Not many have pockets that deep.
