Would be funny if the glazers said OK you win we will sell up then sold to someone else to do a leveraged buy out and they ended up in 5x as much debt as they are at the moment.

Alternatively, would it be possible for the glazers to 'remortgage' the club and give themselves a huge payout and increase the club debt?

Your first suggestion is very likely in case of a takeover.
The rags need to be very careful what they wish for.

I don't know why Sky just don't go all-in and buy them.

There are easier ways to earn more money with 5 billion quid than buying a football club with it's glory days behind it, with decrepit infrastructure and a spoilt, entitled fanbase.

But they would be asked to do more than just score goals.
Sterling has probably had the goal scoring coached out of him like Spanish Dave.
I would guess players like them but with a goal scoring instinct like Foden.
