Amazing how Henderson gets a huge pay rise and an Engerland call up...
Not really a surprise that he got a pay rise after his form last season? Will be interesting to see if Solsjkaer has the balls to drop De Gea for him though. He bottled it with Romero in the cup semis, but doubt Henderson will be happy being back-up all season, especially if De Gea’s erratic form continues.

I did wonder if he was getting the number one spot and Dea Gea was on his way out.

The lad looks a very good keeper, still young and inexperienced at the top level ( big games and Europe) but in my opinion he should be straight in as England keeper Pickford is useless and overated..

Judging by the first few posts, I’m really looking forward to some highly nuanced debate in this thread on Solsjkaer’s tactics next season, and the impact that Glazernomics might have on the club...
I'll take the bait. United were an average team languishing in fifth or sixth up until February the 14th when City were banned by UEFA for two seasons. I vividly remember watching the Chelsea game and it became perfectly clear to me; the PGMOL in tandem with VAR were going to aid United to qualify for the CL. Subsequent games after merely proved the point and now they are in the CL.

Solskjaer is a fairly decent manager who at least has a plan: low defensive block with fast forwards on the counter attack. Alas, there isn't much quality in the team; hence the deification of Bruno Fernandes who is, in fairness, heads and shoulders above the rest of the squad. As of now, there has been little in the form of transfers; probably because there's to be little or no turnover in the foreseeable future because of this year's unprecedented events and their owners are greedy.

All in all, Solsjkaer will struggle to improve what is already there and they will therefore be relying on their friends at the PGMOL to help delude the faithful there is anything to get excited about it. Then again, I thought City, last season, would wipe the floor with that lot and that wasn't the case; and so prepare for United to win the league with a record breaking 101 goals [all penalties] and points.

It’ll be interesting as I can see Henderson having a big fall from grace like Pickford and Hart and many other English keepers before him. Frightening to think United have committed to paying him £30m+ over 5 years.
