He used to go to City mid week matches by train and tram a few years ago and l sometimes chatted to him at Piccadilly or on the train. I could never see why people feared him for himself. He was the same height as me and half a dozen years older. People talk of the 'hair drier'. Ffs he is just an old man shouting. My missus in full verbal flow is much more frightening.
You use the key word in 'power'. The power to ban people, the power to exclude players and ruin their careers and also the power to say anything to reporters who would eagerly and gratefully print it. A horrible reporter from the Star said their worse fear was being excluded from the United loop.

This is it. The man himself, not scary. The fear of the aura around him (built up by the press themselves) and the denial of access to what was then the biggest club in the league, was not worth the risk for some journalists and so they cover up this sort of stuff to protect brands and keep the readers happy - whilst our Club's reputation is there to be shot down every day.

Can't say I feel for any journalist who takes a ban from a megalomaniac and keeps it quiet. What kind of journalistic values do they hold?

As a victim of terribly unfair circumstances as described by the man himself I read that the Scum had invited Dominic Cummings to tonight’s game.
 
The residents of Gdansk in Poland thought they were the victims of some kind of practical joke when they ventured outside this morning.
They thought they had gone back 40 years and the dark days of communism, they'd not seen so many gaunt, frail scruffy bastards walking aimlessly around the streets clad in red and white flags whilst wearing donkey jackets and flared jeans.
They struggled with the language, what does "with a nic nac paddy wac give the dog a bone" actually mean.
This wasn't the same red army they'd seen previously walking their streets.
Realization then hit them, the history club had landed, the primarni army was in town.
 
You will see the gulf in class between us and these bastards tonight. Both on the pitch and off it.
