Pogba had world class potential but he suffered from something that catches lots of players out - he believed his own hype. Then once he got his big contract he sat back and stopped improving.

But he's not even nearly as unlikeable as Fernandes. While undoubtedly an effective player who can shoot and cross to a very high level, he's an absolute bellend.

A cheating, diving, snivelling, rat-faced fucker who deserves his achilles snapping in two. I'd love to see the outcome of him and Fernandinho being alone in a room for 2 mins.

His fan boys will always point to his stats, but let's face it, he wouldn't catch the headlines without the rags freak penalty count.
Yeah pogba is overrated and deluded about his abilities but strip away all the media shite and he's probably a decent fun loving guy. Fernandes just seems like ronaldo, an utter utter ****.

Went to supermarket today in bury, reach for a steak off the shelf at the same time as another shopper. Being the polite chap I am I turned and said please after you. As I turned I was met by a slightly unnerved looking Gary Neville! Awkward! Particularly as I was covered in city hat, scarf and face mask lol

I'd have picked up the maddest steak there and launched it at his face as hard as possible.

No doubt he'd have gone down looking for a penalty.

Why is Fernandes so good for them then?

(A) even a broken clock is right twice a day. Sometimes players don’t turn to dogshit on arrival at the swamp.

(B) he often goes missing in bigger games. Like last night. Let’s see how he does at Klanfield.

(C) you cannot deny the number of good players who do well elsewhere, arrive at the swamp, turn in some dogshit performances, leave and get their mojo back. Sanchez was quoted as saying he knew on day 1 he’d made a bad decision in going there. Falcao and Ibrahimovic are proven players, both were shite there.

There is something very wrong about that club.

Not sure he is tbh. Lots of poor general play and giving the ball away, floating in and out of games,, he just seems to have more end product than their other players, a lot of thst thanks to penalties.

He's a very good player with end product and easily their best player.

Compare his end product and impact with say Bernardo.

Being their best player isn't much of an achievement. Hes a pretty good player but nothing special and certainly not this genius he's been hailed as in the media. He also goes missing against better teams. His stats would be a lot less impressive without penalties.

Bernardo is better at linking play.

Utter bollocks.

Bernardo has been average for 2 seasons now.

Maybe he was playing above himself? It happens

It does, but on the other occasions I saw him play (on TV) for France or Juve my impression that he was a good player was reinforced. You get to see more of what a good player does in the flesh - I used to spend 5 minutes every game not watching the match but just watching David Silva - far more than when you watch the game on TV, but watching on TV is not wholly without its good points.

Even the rags wouldn’t spunk 90m on an average to poor player. They overpay, like they did for Macguire, but not by that much.

How is it bollocks? Are you denying his stats are boosted by pens? Or that he gives the ball away loads, routinely drifts in and out of games and hides bad performances with an assist or goal, usually a pen.

Tell me what he did in games vs Chelsea, arsenal, man city twice, psg home, leipzig, spurs this season?he was invisible in most if not all those games.

Silva is the type of player tho who benefits from the eye test, I dont think pogba is.

How much they spent on him had nothing to do with how good he is. Also his value was hugely inflated by his image rights and pr nonsense.

Yes but the occasional good game doesn't make him as good as you seem to think.
He's not fit to lace Kevs boots.. He's vastly overhyped

He plays for the rags therefore being overhyped comes with the territory. You may have spotted that.

There aren’t many players in world football who ARE fit to lace Kevs boots.

Neither point means he wasn’t a good player at Juve, and neither point means he doesn’t play well for France.

If think if he was playing for someone else he would be no better, you might want to explain why Sanchez, Falcao, Di Maria, Forlan etc all did better when they left the swamp

about fernandes, I think its become a media truth that hes their saviour and a genius and some just accept it as fact. The truth is though he has plenty of bad games. I knew he'd do nothing last night.

I think you're pushing a myth that he plays well for France tbh, prior to the world Cup the French wanted him out the team and post world Cup hes been hit and miss. Even at the world Cup I think his performances were hyped up, there were plenty of better performers in that French team, mbappe, griezmann, kante, Lucas hernandez, varane, umtiti. He was at best a good cog in a well oiled machine. He kept it simple and thats when he's at his best.

I dont know what sort of world it is where people think pogba plays well for France and messi bad for Argentina. Infinitely higher standards messi is judged by I guess.

No, how much they spent on him is a reflection of his market vale, which IS a reflection of how good he is, plus the markup that the rags have to pay to get players to sign for the bestest club in the world. He is in no way the player he was at Juve, or when he turns out for France.

You can argue about how good he was at Juve, what is undeniable is that he has gone downhill massively since he arrived at the swamp.

Luke Shaw is another example. He was a cracking talent at Southampton, I’d have loved to have him at City. Now I wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot barge pole.

He was better at juve but still surrounded by better players, when he signed for united he'd done nothing for France.

Agree on shaw. Used to think he was great at soon and now he's nothing special.
