Name a team that was subject to a (originaly accepted) takeover bid of Xmillion (ie the value of the entire club at that instant and a reasonable punt to the future) the same football year they then spent an almost identical net (not gross) spending transfers in of Xmillion.

if you’re struggling, this is well before FFP was a twinkle in the eye of uefa.

It’s also well before ‘ruining the game’ became a goto for describing other clubs.

it’s also well before ‘organic growth’ could be used to describe this unprecedented season spend on the back of previous years million losses.

it’s well before outside investment (share issue to raise money) in a football club became a byword for ‘buying the league’

any guesses?

hint: X = 10

hint2: the team doesn’t play in Manchester
Fuck me, I'm struggling here!!!

;^)

We’ll see… you don’t just replace a manager like guardiola over night, we’ve learnt that when Fergie retired.

nope that is granted, but one thing is we have meticulous planning and we wont bring in any old manager that will totally change the style we play.

That's the difference

I wonder how many games they’ll try and abandon this year or how many green and gold scarves we will see???. Absolute fucking fools the lot of them. God I hate em

@its grim up north
Serious question as I like to be serious for at least 5 mins every day, what's your take on ronaldo coming back?
Pep us the biggest thing to happen to City, what the guy has achieved is immense. No one wins a league without a striker by 12 points, that's just crazy.

Pep leaving will be the toughest moment City and City fans have ever had deal with. Scary stuff.

True words, on paper your teams not all that… Pep turns you into world beaters.

It must hurt knowing his first choice was City, could you imagine Kompany making a come back and wanting to join the Rags before us?
Yep Ronaldo really had his heart set on city and wasn’t getting offered to them to make Man Utd shite them selves.

For all the usual talk of us ruining the game as i understand it the Rags have now spent around £145 million and as far as I know they have only recouped less than £10 million.

And yet they still haven't sorted out the main issues they have,
