I can see them getting a result tonight as it felt like they down tools to get him gone at Watford as there were players leaking to the press how bad the training was.

What ever happens it’s joyous to watch it feels like they’ve turned into City under Swales.

A few players definitely looked a bit iffy in that game.

The rags were muddled with whether to sack ole or keep him for one reason! They wanted to see out Klopp and pep before appointing a top manager! Now if they get poch he be up against 3 top managers odds are he ain’t winning anything because he has history that says that! But as long as they get top four and far in the cups Glazers will be happy as pie!

They have weakness without doubt but they have a very talented squad that's has had a manager and coaching staff that would struggle to get a job in the lower leagues.

A scenario, IF Pep was their coach do you think they would challenge?
No it would take him at least one season like it did with us.
United have several players in the last year of their contract, one CDM isn't going to make them contenders.

Like he did on his first season with us? Loads of over age and average players… so no he wouldn’t as they’re wank.

That's your heart talking not your head. And yet they were runners up and beat us last season. Then they added Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo to that. The problem is its all ad-hoc and not thought through and they've gone from playing counter-attacking football which worked quite well for them last season (against the better sides) to some unknown style of play which basically seems to revolve around feeding Ronaldo.

Can a new coach get something more out of this squad? The mystery for me is the collapse in form of Shaw and Maguire. They are both decent players imo who have as you said had nightmares this season. Normally a players lack of form can be explained. Injury, unsettled, age etc. But Maguire and Shaw have gone from being strong performers to complete rubbish and its hard to understand why that would be.
The Shaw/Maguire thing is about coaching. Back lines have to be coached and drilled as a unit. If you don't do that, they all look bad.

Yes - same issue with pressing. No team can press high all game, you have to work on when to press hard and when to just sit in shape. If you get that wrong it looks awful. If you play like Mourinho then its easy as you always go for shape - but the players and fans hate it. Ole tries to be more expansive than the Mourinho outfit he inherited but all he did was unpick the discipline.
