How does that benefit them? They’ll have a fixture pile up later on as a result of today.
IMO... and only my opinion I genuinely believe they were fearful of playing Brentford, Ragnick has not had enough time to have a material impact whereas I think they definitely feel more comfortable playing at home v BHAFC - they really could not handle losing another game at this moment in time.

Will they not have to isolate for 10 days?
Also Brighton claiming they are having an outbreak,so maybe that game will be called off too.
Leaving their next game v Newcastle at home on the 29th December.

if they find their shooting boots brighton will embarrass them

I think using closing the training ground is their way out.

Yes they should (and I use that word lightly) have to isolate but if it is only one player that wouldn't materially affect them would it? However if they declare they have x number of player affected then they would be in a less strong position. Lets hope Brighton can persuade a cancellation on Saturday and then lets hear them bleat about games backing up.

My money is on the game going ahead on Saturday, regardless of Brightons' situation.... then the stink really will begin to be noticed,

I have a left field view of this situation. That there is indeed a significant outbreak of covid at United, and they have closed the training ground because of it.
Far fetched lunacy I know.

I also think there will be quite a few more games cancelled over xmas, and possibly a suspension of the league, ridiculous thinking for sure -)

Spurs game against Rennes was called off because they couldn't name THIRTEEN senior players. That criteria should be applied to the rags. Given squads can be up o 25 (I think) then they would need 13 players to have tested positive.
Spurs unilaterally called that game off without consultation.

I fail to see how it won't be called off, isolation and everything is 10 days isn't it? So all those missing won't be back for it?
I suppose it all depends on WHY the game was postponed. If it was postponed due to there being too many players suffering with covid or having to self isolate (those who haven't been vaccinated would still need to isolate after being a contact) then those players will still be isolating for at least another week or so meaning Brighton won't go ahead but Newcastle shold be OK. Like with Spurs their outbreak was announced just after the Norwich game, those players should be back in time for them to play Leicester on Thursday.

If it was postponed due to the fact that the training ground had to close meaning the club weren't adequately able to prepare for the game, then that shouldn't put the Brighton game in doubt
