Once Omicron truly takes over, I can't see many, if any, teams escaping this

On the plus side, hopefully it burns itself out quickly and the chaos - not just in football but in every other area - is short-lived
I heard on Radio 2 last week that each time the Spanish 'flu virus of 1918/19 mutated, it became more infectious, but less deadly, and that’s what it looks like is possibly happening with CoViD too.

Let’s hope that is the case.

People are still trotting out the conspiracy bullshit? Can one of those nut jobs explain how this helps them and how its more beneficial to be forced to cram in a minimum of 2 games into a schedule that has virtually zero gaps already?

Every game that doesn't get played is a much more taxing game to play before the summer and damages them.
Right, I'm going to give it a go.... the rags would have lost these 2 games so denying them 4th spot. If the league is cancelled and a 'pools panel' have to decide who won/lost, they will give the rags 2 x wins.

I am joking by the way.

And I thought you was a clairvoyant for a moment then
