The delightful sound of more pennies dropping on ragcaf:

'We’ve got rid of “inept” back room staff and replaced them with a guy who was too shit for US football and a sports psychologist who seems to have actually reduced the confidence of the team?'

Their forward players all crave attention and individual glory above team success

We need a forward
That Danny Wellbeck looks promising, so we should show an interest with a rumour of an £80m offer in the pipeline
Leave Danny alone - he scored the FA Cup winner against his old team for us at OT and I was there and I loved how he celebrated that goal…Gooners love him for that

The utd way, season 21/22
----------------------------------------

rag fans, hooray weve won the tansfer window, sancho (350000/wk) and varanne and the prodigal son returns(500000/wk) +ollies at the wheel who "totally gets us".

media, sancho best young player in europe, varanne is rolls royce of a player, ronaldo, lol it took fergie just 20 seconds to get him off city, gloat gloat.

rag fans, yeah sancho always loved utd, varanne dreamed of us,ronnies back to win with utd.

media,(after 4 games), its going to be a fantastic title race.

rag fans (a few wks later), ogs isnt good enough, need someone whos proven at this level.

media, ollie left utd in a better state than he found them, they will always love him they just need that next step.

utd board, hires a manager(s assistant) from the russian league,

rag fans, who? what?

media, hes great, godfather of german football, invented the press, in demand, turns clubs around etc etc.

rag fans, oh er yeah hes great, always admired him, we are gonna win the top 4 race, we are back.

media next game(palace at home), utd look back to their very best, you can see the difference already.

four games later.........rags 0-1 wolves.

rag fans, this manager is fcking shit, never heard of him, knew we shouldnt have got him, whats he ever done bleat bleat.

media, there there, its Citys fault, ruined football, spend, oil, boring tiki taka, no history.

I genuinely get the impression that the media are more invested in the rags than their "fans" are.

That is the real "utd way" or "dna", totally overhyped, a club designed by the media for the gullible subscribers.

What would it be like if Ronaldo came to us? I will always wonder about this.
I think he would have turned up with a completely different attitude than he has at United. Pep would have laid down the law on Morning 1, for a kick off, and his lazy ways he’s slipped into very quickly at United would not be accepted here.

Everything would have been new here, so there wouldn’t be that feeling of getting back with an ex-girlfriend and remembering all the things you didn’t like about her the first time round (which always happens when you get back with an ex! A don’t forget he wanted out of that place for 18 months before he did leave and that was when they had their best ever team). Everything would be impressive at the CFA, while everything at United is ageing and fading. The culture within the players would be different and he would have to fit into a champion team with a champion mentality where he would have to work hard to even make the bench, whereas at United he’s surrounded by mid-table players and the odd talented player who’s a proper lazy bastard…

But I also think he’d be played fairly sparingly because he’s nowhere near the player he was and the Prem is just too fast and physical for him now, much like it’s getting for Fernandinho. There’d be the odd world class game and the odd important goals, but that’s all. Whether his narcissistic ego would like that, we’ll never know.

You are all being very cruel the club is obviously in transition and they are only a few wins away from 4th. To do that without having much money to spend is a pretty big achievement.
That’s their problem these days, it starts off with the usual “it’s our year” after spending £100M plus, joint top after 2 games & they get giddy, 3 months later & they’re at least a dozen points behind first place & scrapping for fourth for the rest of the season, when eventually the prem/pigmol step in with copious penalties etc to see them home. Fourth place has now become an achievement for them (not something we’ve had since Hughes) it’s success, they have turned into Arsene’s last Arsenal team & an old peoples home for ageing players

For all the fanfare on here and depression in the United social media they’re only 4 points off 4th with a game in hand.
