Fence sitting bugger you are.

I was indifferent myself erring to the side of not wanting him. The only reason i disregarded my own strong gut feeling was Pep has shown he really does know best so if he did want him who am i to stick my armchair manager oar in. I personally think Pep was, at best, "meh" about him coming regardless of how strong the reports of him coming here were. Just seen a post from @marcus and i can very very easily believe that to be the case, he doesn't strike me as a Pep player at all.

Seeing him now i am ofc very happy we stayed away. Every issue/piece of baggage most of us thought he would bring is happening. He is a great poacher certainly but these days a poacher is very outdated. That is largely down to Pep taking English football up a large notch since his arrival. Every team tries to play total football now to an extent. Defending starts at the front and an immobile striker is poison to that ethos, If one player up top is not in sync with the press the whole play is useless.

He would need to be scoring 3 a game at least to counter his total lack of involvement outside of having a shot. His lack of press enables teams to have a firm footing to play out from the back. Add that to his attitude, namely sulking and whining like hell every single time a play does not result in him scoring it makes for a problem, not a solution.

Soon enough the players in awe of him who are cowed by his hand throwing and glaring at the rest of the players will turn into said players thinking "hold on im fucking sick of this, he can fuck off". Bad vibes will be generated if they are not already.

tl;dr Fake Ronaldo causes more issues than he fixes.
I think most people who did want him and thats me included wanted him to :
a) boil some rag piss.
b) boil even more rag piss.

If he was good enough for Pep them I am not going to complain about him.
One things for sure , Pep wouldn’t have built the team around him and if he wasn’t putting a shift in then he wouldn’t be getting any game time.

The rags have coveted his return for years now.
How fucking awesome is it that he is the one that is dragging them backwards.

Another in a long line. They go on about producing home grown talent and doing it ‘the united way’ , but the truth is they got lucky once with a couple of extremely good players, and a few half decent ones to compliment them , all coming through at once
Since then its been a long line of total mediocrity.
All came through to the most expensively assembled squad in English football history.

He is bang average at best. Redcafe would have you believe he is on his way to becoming the greatest striker ever to wear a pair of boots.

The word "deluded" gets used a lot in footy forums these days but i really struggle to find a more accurate term for that place. They have a thread where they are trying to convince themselves our footy is boring and they don't like it nor would they want it at their club. It is one of the funniest threads i have ever seen on any footy forum. It is the pinnacle of invidiousness. Pretty sure some of them are typing their posts in that thread with tears of rage and dejection pouring down their face whilst mumbling to themselves "it's ok, it's ok".
Greenwood has gone backwards like all their young players. In fact I can't think of a single player who has improved at United for at least a decade. They really do have a shockingly bad coaching operation. It is a stark contrast to City where virtually all our players (even Sergio) got better under Pep.

still amazes me,some on here actually wanted ronaldo at city, some grown men were actually sex weeing , fucking embarrassing , i didn't want him anywhere near our club, a bigger me me me me player there isn't in the world, hes got to be the biggest **** of a player in world football, we wouldn't be near the top with ronaldo, he would of fucked the team up beyond repair imo, cant stand the ****

My post about him.
I couldn't believe some of the replies.
I thought we had a different mentality. Sadly some blues let themselves down that day/week.

(the post count went rapidly down when he signed for them....a lot of post deleting was going on!)

It's gonna be hard waiting almost a week until the next instalment of this great comedy show. But, United at home against Villa in the FA Cup could be as hilarious as many of the highlight episodes we've enjoyed in the last couple of years.
It was great how they brought back Phil the face to add to the comedy last night - from out of the shadows he emerged, soaring like a salmon to lay off a perfect header for the winning goal, after an otherwise good performance; we just knew he'd come up with a belly laugh moment for us. Then Ronaldo, mincing off at the final whistle - as only he can - after seeing his pouting compatriot steal his thunder by taking, and missing, a desperate last free kick to win the match. 0h, how we laughed at that one.
Then we had the drama of the fat pieman, Luke Shaw, tearfully explaining that things hadn't gone right from the very, very start - honestly, Luke - we know you had the script learned down to the last "t" - you're coached by the inventor of modern day football, after all. I'd give Shaw the BAFTA now for that performance.
Now,we look forward to next Monday's show - "Rangnick, paddy whack, Gerard's coming back!" I'm sure our Stevie will be going for a win - no need to put out a substandard side for him - unlike dear Ralphie, who has no choice than to put out a substandard side.
I love watching City but it isn't pure comedy; the scum are monopolising that at the moment - and it's here to stay!
Listen out for that bus - parp parp!!
