I really liked the analysis on Sky after the game. It really enforced the view that all they need is, another, manager and some more effort!
They compare them to us but don't take into account that we are 13 years in the making. There is no quick fix that invloves spending another 500 million and puts them up with us. It's about tactics, backroom staff, facilities, a seemless backup staff like Cheeky and Soriano and a serious chairman. The under 18's walloped them 5-1 the day before ! - it goes deeper than they know. ( I love it btw)
They don't buy bad players - they become bad players as soon as they pull on the shirt.

I know it will be unpopular, but I think Rashford is a quality player - its just he hasnt got anybetter since he was 19. Given the state of them, he should be leading the line.
Just aff the top of my head I can think of Januzai (?), the welsh kid who's gone back to Leeds, Greenwood, Diallo, Rashford, wide players who have all gone backwards and the new kid will do the same. There is no coherent stucture, and even if they knew that, there is no one, two or three season cure.

Great isn't it?

A quality player should be able to trap a ball Rashford has one trick run with the ball when there is no one is in front of him and shoot! The lads stealing a living 300k a week for that!

For those of you with an IPTV service and a sadistic streak, MUTV are rerunning yesterday's demolition at 4pm...

Now, where did I put that bowl of popcorn?

Come on mate - is that a poorly disguised Clarikie?

That can't be based on any of his output over the last 2-3 years.

He's absolute shite.........

I switched it on, then immediately switched it off, and bleached my hands and eyes because of the content I (fleetingly) saw.
Sky is showing it in full at 4:45. so I should be able to see clearly by then. Don't worry, it's on a stream, as I cancelled it before Christmas.

The second half in particular yesterday was just fantastic to watch. Seeing United so totally outclassed and the pleasure of watching such brilliant football. At lunchtime today I burst out laughing when a United fan actually said to me that he found City's play tedious...Jesus, talk about being bitter. I think they don't know what proper football looks like any more having watched absolute crap for so many years.

I agree. I think Rashford is incredibly overrated. If the game was all about sprinting I'd say he was bloody good, but for a footballer he offers nothing.
He just coasts through games and spends more time walking about than actually doing something that might help his team.

To me it looks as though Rashford and a few others in that side would actually avoid playing if they could get away with it, and to anyone who loves the game that is sacrosanct: Not wanting to get on the pitch and get stuck in - fuck, you'd have been crucified at my old secondary school with that attitude.
But that is truthfully how it looks to me with the rags, way too many of them looking (and acting) as if they'd rather be somewhere else, anywhere else, than on a football pitch giving it a 100%.
