Don’t forget you need to have extremely short legs to sit with any form of comfort. Their terracing is far too narrow for seated fans, I know as I experienced it at the Olympics. The lower tier concourse in the Stretford End is akin to the Black Hole of Calcutta. The stadium is a dump.

One of the most comforting things about the BT post match commentary last night, was when it was suggested they needed football people like Wio and the Toe Sucker engaged to sort them out. They were all part of a system under Ferguson that just doesn’t work in modern football. Their prolonged attempts at trying to replicate it are the problem, and it seems they still haven’t realised it if they think engaging Wio/Scholes etc is the answer.
