There’s only one reason to do that and that’s down to the next manager already being in place ....... if he isn’t then in all honesty you would have to be a loon to even go near that place .....

If it’s this Ten Haag bloke, is Fernandes a type of player he wants as part of the rebuild? Doesn’t work hard enough, spends most of his time lay on the floor complaining and stats that were padded out in his first season by some very dubious penalties to get the rags top four, he’s Pogba mark two.

Highly unlikely that ETH and Bruno are truly compatible, but who knows.

I hope we won’t need to find out. Bring on Poch.

Either way the club is rotten to the core. Shouldn’t make a difference to their medium to long term prospects, certainly won’t get near us.

Unlike Pogba, Fernandez tries, but he has less that half the talent of Pogba

My mate wants them to remain bobbling about irrelevantly in mid table for eternity.
As for me, well, I want them to drop at least a division lower than we managed and ultimately go bankrupt.
That's my dream anyway...
"There's a crack up in the ceiling
And the Stretford End is leaking
.....
What are we living for?
To see U***d in division 4"

Plus ca change
plus la meme chose.

I've just listened to Andy ....sorry Andrew Cole on sky trotting out the same old "It's Manchester United they'll always be a big club." mantra. No they won't.If sky would have been around when Preston were at the top in football they'd have been saying it about them and look what happened there. They've spent a billion on a squad that hasn't won the title in ten years and any trophy in five. It will cost an absolute fortune to sort out Old Trafford so what money will be left for the team? The only hope they've got of staying relevant is if they change the rules....again...to get them in the champions League every year.

The problem of united going bankrupt would be a Phoenix club (see rangers) rising again, with no debts, many lifelong rich united fan investors, a ground and facilities handed over for minimal amount etc.

as long as they are a going concern, just, then they aren’t going to get back to ‘where united should be(!)’, and will slowly drift down to being lower/middle team in the PL.
Sadly, if they ever got relegated, I think they’d fold, and rise phoenix like (with aforesaid no debt)
Then again they could be Bury, Oldham or Stockport...
