Clichés that mean very little and may run counter to each other anyway.

What if youth products cannot play the style of football, should he still embrace youth?

  • Set the Culture
  • Improve recruitment
  • Structural reset
  • Clear playing style
  • Embrace youth
  • Develop players
Both LVG and Mourinho probably had a go at doing a majority of those. How did that work out?

The ex-rags that work for BT benefit from the rags being shit, far more than they would if they were to be competitive again. They get paid to talk even more bollocks about the nth attempt at rebuilding.
I wasn‘t meaning to go so deep, apologies.

It was merely the “stick to commenting on whatever your job is“ element that I was responding to.

Not many parents would be able to comment on bringing up children if they worked at Sports Direct and all they could comment on was how much Slazenger tops were and whether a purchase of one could qualify the buyer to a huge mug.

I‘m not a football manager, chairman or board member, so I’m not really qualified to comment on your post… but I would suggest every fan of any club that isn’t winning would forgo all of the stuff you posted to win trophies.

No fan of a club winning perpetual trophies talks about the DNA of the club. That’s left to the mid table clubs with “history”.

West Ham had a DNA until Moyes rocked up and played Moyesball that got them to the brink of the top 4 and Europa semifinals. None of their fans are now pining for the “West Ham“ way.

You know that Aesop fable about the cat who's menacing a load of mice, and the mice have a big conference about what to do about the cat and a baby mouse suggests putting a bell round its neck, and an old man mouse says, "OK, cool, but who's going to put the bell on the cat?" and nobody wants to do it? That's the ex-Man United players and managing United. They all woman and moan about how shit United are but none of them would actually do the job. Can you imagine Ferdinand trying to manage Pogba and Bruno the Wonder Horse and Slabhead?
One of my favourite fables. It’s easy to think of impossible solutions.

I am 57. Took all that shit from about 91 onwards. Decades of shit. Ikkle ole Ciddy etc Gloating wankers. Well well well! Fuck you you rag wankers! Until I draw my last breath I will never let up. You deserve everything coming your way! Fuck you!
57 here as well, and I lived every fucking minute of that with you. Fuck every fucking single last one of them. Even the ones who you think are ok, or are a mate, they all, every fucking last one of them, revelled in that banner. Didn't matter that they were hoovering up trophies, or catching Liverpool in their silly little 80s v 90s trophy haul, they still had to belittle us.

Fucking scum.

We need to pull together and support them enough for them to qualify for the Europa Conference League.

We can do this. Come on Ralf!

Imagine what it could do for FC Chisnau Railwaymen.

Since a fair number of the clubs in that league are in Central and Eastern Europe, I wonder how the tournament will go on. Especially, the players at Chisnau will be at the front by next fall and winter.

I’d assume UEFA will stick their fingers in their ears and look at how much sponsors pay them to make their considered opinion on what is possible.

A prominent English or any other British club in Belgrade for a match will be a genuine safety issue. There will be more than the expected racist chants.

That’s one reading of it. But the other reading of it is that Ferdinand's opinion isn't worth listening to because of his lack of experience, not that he doesn't have a right to an opinion because he was never a manager.

Would you like to hear my plan for populating the moon by human cloning and how we should design and build the spacecraft that take them there?

Maybe the fact that he has never managed or coached professionally is less important than the fact he talks bollocks for a living and couldn't compose an article without someone to type it up for him.

After reading the section on it in the sun I'm still not sure what he actually means by structural reset.

Is stick to your day job ever an appropriate response?

Real Madrid and Barcelona fans complain about style even when winning don't they?

Real frequently sacked managers after winning the league or champions league due to of fan dissatisfaction at the style of play.
