The Glazers have given them the managers they've wanted plus all the financial backing required, out bidding and out paying everyone else - utd fans' protests are basically down to the fact that they aren't winning anything any more. An entitled fan base that didn't sign up to this, especially with city and liverpool miles ahead.

Saying that, I really do hope that the Glazers get forced out, as American owners are the biggest threat to football in this country.

I never used to watch them on TV but that has all changed in recent years. Nowadays I seek their games out (confusing my wife). Watching their decline is compulsive viewing.
Even the occassional win is ok to bear if its prolonging that decline. Especially an undeserved one relying on a 37yo to bail them out again

To be fair, I'm a fair, easy going and sensitive person so I'll take the following on the gloves..

Oil money - mentioned
No fans - mentioned numerous times
Small club - mentioned
Football's changed - mentioned
Haven't won the CL - Good that the rags aren't in it next season. Be a distraction and will hamper the rebuild Tent Peg has to do.
Fcuked when Pep goes - mentioned
Madrid will knock you out on Wednesday - all agreed the first leg 4-3 was the best game off football they've seen this season
Don't watch the rags 'cos can't get tickets - to be fair one has 2 season tickets and regularly takes his daughter who has said she doesn't want to go as it's boring and everyone around where they sit swears a lot. I think he sits near the home dugout.
Biggest club in the world - mentioned more than once
Trillion fans - mentioned
Own money - apparently they have limitless funds but couldn't answer why they don't clear off their half a billion pounds worth of debt, fix up the stadium and buy some decent players
Manageable debt - see above
20 times - funnily enough, not mentioned
Packed theatre of dreams -78000 packed in every home game despite me pointing out the stadium capacity is only around 73500
Wait until our new manager rocks up - 5 year plan in place on their way back to greatness. We all agreed tent peg looks a bit like Pep so what could go wrong?
Wait until our new owners rock up - Glazers out, this despite me pointing out that they've spent millions upon millions on their first team. Fell on deaf ears. Some guy who owns Ineos has got a few quid, he'd be a good choice apparently..

Once all that's off their chests after the first 5 minutes, hopefully one of them will get the beer in and we can then chat about the here and now which will no doubt cover PL football from 2013 onwards, I'm hoping I can get some positive feedback from them on..

Trophies won in the last decade - matters not when you are the worlds biggest club
Favourite managers - not in my lifetime
Crumbling stadia - being extended to cram even more people in
Chances of winning the new European Conference Cup, whatever it's called.. - want to swerve this one but if pushed they'd accept the Europa League qualification, win that, back in the CL, easy really if you look at it like that.
Finishing outside the fabled top 6 - rebuild, onwards and upwards
Yet another new manager - this guy's gunna be the one
What's Ole up to now - should have stuck with him instead of plumping for the godfather of German football
Brentford next, tough team to beat - last home game of the season for them, be packed to the rafters to see the team off
What's happened to that banner - what banner?
37 year old centre forwards - only bought him to stop him going to City.... along with Pogba, Fred, Sanchez etc
Ealing Haaland, is he any good -PL hardest league in the world, could be another Lukaku
Is winning stuff really overrated - 5 year plan to put steps in place back to greatness
Isn't 28 a massive number - pointed out we could have lost 9 games on the bounce and still be in front of them
The good old days - not too chuffed when mentioned that they're long gone and won't be coming back

I'll try and enjoy the afternoon..!
Asked them all who they'd want to win the league and CL.. all, without hesitation said City, that was probably the only thing we all agreed on all afternoon to be honest..

Football rivalries apart, they are all good mates who unfortunately just chose to support the wrong team.

All have got a good 40 years service in when it comes to supporting the rags so I can't knock 'em for that.

It was a great afternoon, the sun was out and to all who were in and around the Waterside Pub and Monton please accept my apologies for my loudness and general poor form in laughing out loud every 5 minutes or so when the subject of football came up..

I feel a bit rough this morning, thank **** it's a BH today..!

I know not all United fans are stupid but they do have a sizeable portion of their support, mainly from abroad, who are thick as f*ck.

The last post on the Do City Leave You Cold Thread on Red Cafe.

Tyrion - Ireland

Agreed but once they win it(CL), there will basically be no point to City anymore. People will get even more bored of them and their fans will hate it even more.

This from a Glasgow Rangers fan trying to ingratiate himself to the forum. Another thick as f*ck (Rangers) fan.

Firstly I'm a Rangers supporter first and foremost but have been a Man Utd fan since Ruud Van Nistelrooy(sp) lit up the league. When Rangers got relegated to the lowest tier of Scottish football we were still getting 50,000 fans attending every other week, and I bet the majority of Man Utd fans would go and watch their team if they were playing in the National league, whereas Man C are just a soulless tourist attraction.

'50,000 every other week'?

TBF he was instantly correct by United fans about the size and loyalty of our support when City went into Championship and into the old 3rd division.

Sadly Lowry always removed one important detail from his paintings.
In this pic, as can clearly be seen, h
The mouth breathers do seem to be at a low of despair, even though they've got the inventor of football already there ready to snare the hottest prospects from Austria, and the man who's more Pep than Pep said yes!

There are more 'nited fans in the universe than flies round dogshit, rather appropriately. I have some literary inspiration for the great unwashed, if you'll indulge me:

Seek deeper meaning from

The Life of Pies (for Luke "Gregg's" Shaw)

Zen and the art of stadium maintenance (David Gill likes this)

The Loneliness of the long distance interim Manager (Ralf and Eric big fans)

The Art of Woahhh (Giggsy will have time to catch up at Her Majesty's pleasure)

The Hobbit (Bestest dna enhanced Norwegian legend)

The Shining (Fake Ronnie and Varane's do's)

Who goes there? (Wan Bissaka)

The Old Man and the Se(a)(man) (Tyrannicus caledoni)

The Iron Man (Harry the Head)

Brave New World (Ed 3 planks, still miss him!)

The Great Gatsby (Young Jessie is a big fan of Leo Di Cap, innit)

Is your mama a llama? (Donut Dave's fave)

Can you think of any more?!?
Drinker, jailer, sucker, pie

George Smiley in his most thrilling Circus adventure yet with a Govan pisscan, a guy mysteriously named “Giggseh”, a ginger pig and a Greggs frequenter who claims to be a professional footballer…
