Matt Lucas on Who Do You Think You Are now - identifies as a North London Jew so who does he support? Spurs or the Arses as his local teams............nooooo course not - yet another celebrity rag
There's a good friend of mine, a poster on here, who is a North London Jewish guy and a fanatical Blue. Some do see sense occasionally.

Ha

Actually I’m not sure if it’s a good or a bad thing.

One the one hand, he dragged them through a few games they definitely would’ve lost last season. Without his goals, they might’ve struggled to make top half, which would be hilarious. He will probably win them a few points next season if he stays.

On the other hand, some see them being unable to start rebuilding a team for the future when they have their star player pushing 40. I’m not sure what they’re trying to build anyway because 90% of their current squad are garbage.

Doesn’t matter either way I guess, they’re only a rival to us by default, they’re nowhere near a worthy rival in footballing terms these days. Average mid table side. I can’t see them finishing above 6th or 7th.

It was all about him though. Maybe they'd have done better if he hadn't have been there?

Met a chap from London on a Baltic cruise, he asked if he had heard a Manchester accent when I was talking to my wife at the table next to him. When I said that he had, he asked “Blue or Red”, and I told him there was only one team in Manchester. He was absolutely made up as he was a fanatical Blue who was born in Manchester and had only moved to London in his mid twenties. Shared a table with him and his wife for the rest of the cruise and still keep in touch. Meeting up with him in August when he is in Manchester to donate some family memorabilia to the Jewish museum as he is one of the faith.

I’m not so sure, their team is bang average from top to bottom. They finished about where they should. When you look at how weak that Utd team are, it’s probably a good thing for them that it’s all about Ronaldo and he can drag them through a game here and there.

The teams that finished top 4 are far better with better players. Even Spurs who managed to sneak 4th. Man Utd haven’t got the players good enough to sniff the sweat around Son and Kane’s bollocks, especially if you take Ronaldo out of the equation. Then factor in Conte is a much better manager than anyone Utd seem to be attacking.

The gap is widening between the top teams and United. Even if they have no Ronaldo but more of a team, their team is at best good enough to duke it out with West Ham for kind of European qualification.
