I'm not a massive Jonathan Wilson fan but I thought he summed up Ole and United perfectly on Monday where he said they they only exist to package and sell nostalgia.

So of course they see the manager doing badly as an opportunity to just pick out another moment from the glory years - Ferguson almost getting fired in 1990 - and serve that up to the fans.

They've finished second a few times and got to a host of finals and semis. And as I've said before: they are probably the second most successful team in terms of PL points over the past ten seasons.
I think the identity of the most successful team over that period is what is eating them up. - Even though they don't care about us.
