What was the thinking behind their suicidal tactics? I guess they decided that Liverpool's defence is the weak link and that they should attack them from the start. Also, it's difficult to accommodate Ronaldo in a defensive shape for he doesn't do defending anyway. Still, it was suicidal to play Ronaldo, a second striker in Fernandes, and two other strikers on the flanks, especially given that they can't press well.

Now, they'll revert to type and try to play on the counter against us. But can they do it with Ronaldo? We'll try to wear them down by moving the ball all over the pitch and looking for opportunities to score.

Kill! Kill! Kill!.....;)

Entertaining but it means that Utd will revert back to their defensive counter-attacking tactics against City and they will be doubly determined.

What particularly cost them in this game was the positioning of Luke Shaw. He continually left his left back position and left Salah alone.

You also have to credit Salah's goals. The first time strike and control whilst sprinting was incredible. He makes difficult things look easy. Apart from him, I thought Liverpool were quite ordinary and vulnerable defensively.
