Just show the utter shambles the Rags are, now get ready because I am about to use PR37 and Lingard in the same sentence.
18 months ago Lingard wanted to leave and West Ham were balls deep for him, he was coming to the end of his contract but they failed to cash in. The result was they brought an unhappy player back into the squad and failed to play him. They lost out on a transfer fee and paid a shitload of wages for someone the manager wouldnt play.

You look at PR37 and history is repeating, he made it quite clear he wanted out and they wouldnt let him go, they are now left with an unhappy player on huge wages who cant get a game. He will be off in Jan and the rags will once more fuck up a situation they could have handled much better.

You forgot about a few others that are on their last year of contract...

So they either need to pay De Gea a load to stay, or buy a new expensive GK.
2x new backs or pay Shaw & Dalot.
new midfielder or pay Fred.
new left winger or pay Rashford.

That's a lot of pay increases (or possibly a bit of cash in january), or a lot of new players

They do the optional 1 year on most of their contracts so they won't be leaving on a free at the end of the season unless they want them out.
Yes, but the OP mentioned PR37, who also has the option.
