After they win tomorrow against a team that has spent 2 million combined in the last 4 years (net cost 0), who finished 3rd in the Europe League group last season without winning a game and currently sitting 4th in their league after losing 2 of the last 3 we know that the media will:

Not mention money, transfer costs of both teams or wages ie Ronaldo earns more in a week than the entire other team
Go over the top of the Rags performance and "insert name here" is world class
Bring up Messi v Ronaldo stats if he starts and scores against these minnows
Given Ten Hag didn't bring Ronaldo on because he didn't want such an egotist to suffer humiliation on Sunday - do you think he will embarrass him by selecting him to play against this pub reserve side?

Looks like Ten Hag appreciates us:

"Now we get a reality check with Manchester City, we know we have to step up," he said.
"So thank you for the lesson, Pep and City, we will take that and we have to understand we have to do things much better."
Didn't take long to turn into David Moyes.

Bit close to Greece for slab head there, let's hope there's no Armenian mafia waiting for him. I still remember that snidey interview he did well, claiming he was beaten up and his legs whacked repeatedly, all the while sat there in a pair of shorts with not a bruise or red mark showing.

Whatever happens tonight is great for us. Win and they'll paper over the cracks and call it heroic, anything else and it's zebra pants on and tantrum time.
