Why did I suddenly get a vision of that bit from 'Life of Brian,' the stoning scene where the little old man is shouting 'Jehovah, Jehovah!' and John Cleese is trying to control the small crowd.

Exactly. Pre-match talk writes itself. Force and early mistake from Maguire and the crowd will be all over him. Let's get a corner and put our two biggest lads on the small one. Press in midfield and McTominey will shit himself. Get to 45 minutes at 0-0 and the crowd will be booing them half at time. Work hard for 90 minutes and you can tell your kids you beat United at Old Trafford.
