No I meant it was a coincidence of timing being just after the air disaster and United wore it at the FA Cup final just after it had been awarded to the city as they thought it was a good symbol for the club after Munich.

The idea of the eagle was linked to Manchester’s links to the Roman fort that was here. But it was never on the CoA until 1958 when it was added to the decoration at the top.
So City had every right to use it.
 
The dippers line up looks a bit shit tbh. If Palace can get a draw at Klanfield could Trafford get something?
