They dealt with the Greenwood situation perfectly until the charges against him were dropped. Then they tried to protect their financial asset, poorly.

I’m not insisting anything. I’m suggesting that suspending a player who hasn’t been charged with anything is a potential legal minefield as well as a slippery slope.

Less that 2 years ago, we didn’t suspend Mendy until he was charged.

united are a mess and have hung Antony out to dry before he’s charged with anything. It might be a one off, but social media now demands it. Schofield, Edwards etc. No trial. Guilty.

I am thinking it's more to do with the guy's state of mind. He doesn't look like a particularly well-balanced individual, and his alleged behaviour would suggest that, as would bursting into tears on TV. Probably best for him to get out of the limelight while all this is going on.
