Isn’t it more of a Dallas Cowboys business model from the 80s?
I don't know, but I've specifically heard someone referencing the Yankees when claiming that on-field success isn't necessary for off field success. And perhaps in America this works, where it's all engineered to make sure no one team dominates. But in football, if you don't dominate, someone else might.

Always this, the media cream themselves silly over the Ratface when he does one good thing after 20 odd games. Last time it was that through-ball to Rashford in the league.
To be fair to the rat faced clown, his goal and assist numbers are good from an attacking midfielder.

What the don’t show is his crap pressing and his head going if anything goes the wrong way.

Straw clutching on the rag stand today. Initially when manure were put up for sale, Sir Jim was the best thing since sliced bread, that was until Qatar came onto the scene, he was then seen as an obstacle to a 100% takeover. He soon became the Rat cliff. Now, due to the cooling of interest by the Qataris and the realisation by the swamp dwellers that the club has gone tits up, it's suddenly become Sir James the saviour.

Surprised they're being offered that much, considering dross on the pitch and chaos within the club. Let's not forget Etihad gets stadium sponsor rights too, included. Are City due for a new shirt sponsor renewal/improved terms soon, considering on-field success, Haaland arriving, etc.? Sorry, haven't checked for a while.
They always seem to get shirt sponsors who overpay and fail to carry out due diligence... The Chevrolet exec who got sacked after signing off on their sponsorship deal, then TeamViewer looking to exit their deal early.

The whole edifice is crumbling, they are a fucking shit show from top to bottom.
There will be more hand wringing, wailing and knashing of teeth when Brighton put them to the sword at weekend.
Just lol.

3 assists and a goal in one match is decent, but in International football you are playing teams of a Division 2 level, which is how Maguire manages to retain an international career.
