To those business savy blues out there - hopefully you can clear something up for me.
I keep hearing Scruffy Jim's dealings at them as "a minority takeover" - does such a thing exist??
No, it doesn't. Catweazle has made a minority investment. The Glazers
still own the majority of the shares and virtually all of the shares with
voting rights. To me, the Glazers have pulled off a real stroke of genius with this one.
They have trousered £1.3 billion and handed over (got rid of) the responsibility for
the footballing side of things. If things improve on the field, then in all probability,
the profits rise, and the share price increases as does the amount they can hoover out in
dividends each year. If it all goes Pete Tong on the pitch, it's not their fault, Over to you Jim...
As for the new / refurbished stadium plan, the Glazers, are just playing to the crowd. It will take
billions of pounds, regardless of what they do and it will also take years to do it. However, it generates
positive media coverage and the sheep keep eating the grass. When it comes to financial investments and
making money, the Glazers know exactly what they are doing.

He can’t be any worse than their previous ones, but he’s not going to be the solution either.

He can and it could get worse very quickly
Who is in charge will be the next question being asked by the manager and players, You can see it a mile off, the blame game will set in the fingers will start to point at the manager and players again by Jim, and Then it will be well your only 25% and am taking this higher to the (Glazers) it's how a football club should not be run, With so many people having a say it will get ugly quickly

The sinking ship that keeps pumping the water out to stay afloat will eventually sink

How can you fix United when 5 other clubs plus Manchester City are better than you?, Arsenal Liverpool Spurs Newcastle Villa are in a better place right now, I will say City, Arsenal,Liverpool, are set for the next 5 years and there is nothing United can do both on or off the field to jump ahead of them

Scruffy Jim has taken over United with a 1/4 ownership. :-?

Masters at the PL shared a drink with Jim, congratulated him, and told Jim not to worry, because we’ll get the 115 cheating bastards, and get United back to where they have a divine right be, as PL champions, which is good for you, for United, for United fans, for me, and for the PL.
We may be cheating bastards but we don't have a tax dodging scruffy twat begging for the taxpayer to fund his new toilet...sorry stadium.

He hasn’t lost any manager their job yet. He can’t be worse than Darren Fletcher. He has some track record, at least.

It will depend on whether they allow their managers to keep picking players though. If the6 do, then Ashworth or any other DoF is pointless.

They're starting to not renew their deadwood. That is disappointing in itself, but we don’t need them buying up and coming stars on low wages.

Hopefully they can tempt Benzema to join on a 5 year, £400k a week contract.

I have also been hearing this.
If Catweazles' shareholding is a minority, then it can't be a takeover.
Were it otherwise then somebody with 1 share could be considered to be in a minority takeover position.

No such thing he’s getting 25% of the business,
17% of the Bshares ) the ones that count) the rest are Ashares worth 1/10 in voting power of the Bshares. He is paying £1.28B for the privilege Effectively he’s paid £1.28b for a 25% share of >£1B of debt He’s also doing it with out any real rivals the Qatar Sheikh was never ever able to show proof of funds Glaziers must be laughing even louder that ever on the way to the bank

Everyone who joins this shite club are top of their game apparently, recipe for disaster then.

I have a brother in law. He is an annoying brother in law. He can decide to change his car and test drive loads of them. He is a car salesmans nightmare. Even he would have been able to make up his mind and buy a stake in the rags by now ffs

Scruffy Jim needs his bumps feeling , invest over a billion into a business that is already over a billion in debt , we all know what a smart cookie he is regarding business dealings, but maybe he has lost his marbles.

He's not going to throw his money away he makes money not lose it, but he's going to make his money off plastic rag fans so it's all good. He isn't going to be the builder of empires that the cockney diehards want.

Burnham already has his arse in the air and scruffy Jim is going to ease into the opening so eagerly offered.

Exactly.

Players, managers and now even behind the scenes staff have to be hyped by their propaganda machine (the rag loving press)

I openly admit I'd never even heard of the guy they got from us (who's name I still can't remember) and I've certainly never heard of Dan Ashworth when he was at Brighton or Newcastle.. yet suddenly according to the rag media these are household names who are the absolute best in the business at whatever it is they do.

I think it is called the Jizzy Jaz syndrome
