Last thought from me for the day, what's the rules on nation states directly funding EPL clubs expenditure and ambition again? Seem to recall this being frowned upon by the majority in the league and media as creating an unfair playing field despite its well meaning intentions and projected social benefits to the area but oddly no reference to this in the interview and subsequent articles. Must not have the right colour specs on.

He's looking towards getting a government/council to stump up towards the ground on the basis it will be the Wembley of the North and regenerate South Manchester.

It's not even in fucking South Manchester. Bet the fucker gers away with it. He's even claiming they could have England games and FA cup finals there.
Yep. Nowhere near south Manchester.

I can't see ground share working at all. 29 home games last season for us lets assume 24 for both clubs, no rest for the pitch, potential for 4 games in 7 days on the surface on a regular basis, that's going to impact on the teams performance. That level of regular use is expected on community fields not an EPL ground, we don't need the revenue so on and off the pitch it makes no sense to us so its a no.

We've world leading ground staff and facilities but this is asking too much to maintain the standard required. For me there's a reason we've not held the Super League Magic weekend since we fulfilled contractual obligations back in 2014 and that's we don't need the cash or damage, better for us the grass recovers under the watchful eye of the grounds team over the breaks in the season and pretty sure this would be Pep's stance as well.
Yeah, but apart from all that they can fuck. Off

We could stick up our own banners for their home games.

5 trophies
Centurions
back to back titles
1-6.
Welcome to Manchester banner

Just to remind them how we have trampled their precious history.

The list is not exhaustive so feel free to add.

They genuinely would wreck our place if we allowed them to stage their home games at the Etihad, it's a non starter IMHO.

It's never gonna happen pal. The vile bastards have stabbed us in the back on numerous occasions and belittled us at every opportunity over the last 30 odd years. No way will the great man even consider it. Fuck them and everything they stand for.

Well if you are looking at Government funding on things like Hs2 Scruffy Jim would be prudent to get planning permission in Birmingham. Better for the environment and carbon footprint with less of their scummy supporters travelling to Manchester.
better option is with other cheek of same arse building super athletic stadium in Croft Warrington next to M6 transport links then two dumps removed in one move
