The club's accounts for the year ending June 30 revealed a gross debt of £507m ($650m). Since that period the club have availed of credit facilities with two banks for a total of £160m, bringing the total gross debt to £773m ($991m). In addition to outstanding transfer fees of £318m, the club now owes more than £1billion.

Yep but premier established clubs who will never go down are great collateral for banks they'll lend money to the cows comes home!

It's why Americans are buying football clubs!
 
I hope you're not implying that they would use it as for marketing or for finacial gain in the future, maybe a next year anniversary and possible a year later maybe, a few more duvets in the club shop, Bobby & Franny half 'n' half scarves for the mentally weak, maybe even try and weave something into 9/11..... I'm pretty sure they might have in the past.

You go in there shop they'll be new merchandise related to Charlton
