The Bayern game will be a lot closer than people think.
I can’t see Bayern getting more than five and one or two of those are likely to be from Maguire
Bayern got battered 5-1 at Frankfurt yesterday and have already qualified. Can easily see a win for the Rags - let’s just hope there’s also a win in the Copenhagen v Galatasaray match…..in the last minute ;)

Yesterday proved many things. One of them is that there are many excellent managers working in the PL, but another was that ETH is not really one of them. We saw Bournemouth at the Etihad back in early November when they got walloped 6-1 and things didn't look good for them. But Iraola has persisted and now he has Bournemouth playing the way he wants and playing it better and better. On the other hand ETH seems to moan a lot, to be full of info on what has gone wrong but unable to say what has been done on the training ground or what he is trying to achieve there. I have only seen the "highlights" on MotD but I think it was Ian Wright who argued that we are no nearer to seeing any "plan" or pattern in United's play. But much of this has been covered up by a ludicrously favourable media.

United were making "real" progress and under the wise leadership of ETH were "moving in the right direction". They were "the form team" and only in the last few days were the winners of the manager of the month and player of the month awards. These comforting fantasies came crashing down yesterday and the evidence of their run to become "form team" shows that much of the argument in favour was somewhat fanciful. The evidence begins with a run of 4 wins in 6 games. But it ignores the fact that the two games before this "run" were a 3-0 panning at home by Newcastle's second string and a 3-0 evisceration again at home in the derby. This presumably is the base from which United "moved in the right direction" and made "real" progress. The run's high spot was a 2-1 home victory against the team in tenth place, a victory at the home of the team in 14th place and then at Everton, who had just been hit with a ten point deduction to sit in the relegation places. Then they scrambled to a 1-0 victory at home to Luton in 18th place. They lost to the only team in the top half they played. only 1-0 but that was down to Newcastle rather than the rags. And "this is Manchester United we're talking about"! Not exactly a masterful prelude to yet another 3-0 home defeat - these time at the hands of a team that managed to climb to 13th place on the back of their first ever win at OT. How luvky are the rags to have both the manager and the player of the month!

The players are running the dressing room because the manager is failing, let's just start with his signings.
As the song says, he's the clown
Go back to the days of Moyes and this shit has go on and your talking some brilliant managers in there ..........
