When did this nonsense about it being the biggest game ever in the history of football actually begin? When I was growing up in Manchester in the 80s it wasn't the biggest game. Was it when trophy counting became a thing in the late 90s early 00s?
Yeah.

As the rags started to close in on Littlewoods' 18 titles, the pisscan cranked up the rivalry, saying things like, "Littlewoods are our greatest rivals," though I’ve always thought of it as a way to belittle us.

We should have expected nothing less from the Govan bully, on either front.

Them and the red scousers are the worst for this knee jerk hyperbole bollocks, very good win for them but if they get turned over by Coventry and it could happen let’s not think the rags are a shoe in then they’ll be back to the crying entitlement and tent peg has to go,one win doesn’t suddenly make you a good team ..
Robins will certainly be keen to beat the Trafford scumbags, I’d imagine,

That game was all about it going to extra time and the timing of the goals. People are talking about it being the best ever FA Cup game. Absolute nonsense. The Rags' football is simply shocking. As some Dipper said elsewhere the Rags are all about kicking long and running fast yet they allowed them to play that game. Hyperbole again.
It might have been the most exciting FA Cup game, but best? Not a chance.

They celebrated an extra time winner in the FA Cup QF like they won the CL final (with the goal scorer being immediately sent off for being a moron).

Meanwhile, we celebrated like mad when Yaya scored the winner against Stoke (after we put United out in the SF) to give us our first trophy in many years, when Agüero won the league in stoppage time of the last match of the season to give us our first league title in more than three decades (leaving them sitting open-jawed at the Stadium of Light listening to Sunderland fans sing Bluemoon), when Gundo scored the league winner against Villa late in to the last match of the season to smash Liverpool’s (and Gerard’s) dreams, when Gundo scored a worldie 10 seconds in to the FA Cup final (and later the winner) they comprehensively lost to us last year, when Rodri scored the winner late on in the CL final we won last year (a competition they didn’t even qualify to play in), and when Haaland and Foden scored all of their goals to beat their shambolic team home and away this season.

We’ll leave them to celebrating ultimately inconsequential goals whilst we compete for another treble.
Imagine being them - oh no, that's the other set of gobshites.............

I hate the rags more than I love City.
I wouldn't say I wanted them to win yesterday.
But I wasn't bothered when they dis.
Just to shut this bollocks about a fake quad up is enough for me.
Plus we will piss on the rags in the final.
Dippers would be a lot harder
How can you hate the rags more than you love City?

Very weird.

After watching a few of the rag reactions my dislike for them is reaffirmed without the whiff of sympathy.

They are unsufferable after one decent result, acting like they are "BACK" again, and they've won "We beat a team" cup.

Ten Bob has overtaken Pep for reinventing football. Forget keepers who can play out orfalse number nines. The new football involves no midfield whatsoever. Mark my words, soon everyone will be copying it.

Said no sane fucker, ever.
