I understand signing a raw player who banged in 25 because you can take a gamble on the fact they seem to have a genuine eye for a goal, but they signed a player who got 9 goals and thought they were getting Haaland.

I actually think they signed him because he's a blonde Scandinavian with a name that sounds a bit like Haaland and he's quite big and quite quick.

It's a happy state of affairs when you find the rags cannot attract a decent signing. Every 'name' they've gone for recently has turned them down, so all they can look forward to is signing 3rd rate Dutch non-entities.
