Ive said this all along. They have to many technically deficient players and are not comfortable playing out form the back. Even players like Casemiro, Mount, Bruno are direct players who are more comfortable on the counter, a steady build up fromt he back suits no one in that team. Not the midfield, not Rashford who is theier best attacking outlet.

Thier best chance is playing a more direct brand of football, trying to win the second ball high up the pitch. However this method is prone to giving the ball away. They scored 58 goals in the league last year which made them the 9th highest scorers in the league. There chance creation is limited due to their inability to recycle possession and probe teams.

The players they have, the players they recruited for, do not suit a team that should be playing out form the back. Ten Hag doesn't know if he is coming or going.
