The Head Groundsman will be happy with this.. at least he can get an early dart for once by asking them 'Are you staying until the end? If I give you these keys could you lock up for me..?'

(Btw, aren't 'The 1958' just a garbage tribute band to 'The 1975'?)

Can't. Stop. Laughing.

I dont get this. They are going to stay for an hour after the game finishes, the cameras have gone home, nothing is being shown on tv.

Wouldnt walking out be a bigger show.

This for me is better, its purgatory. Watching City, constantly winning while they're over paying for average players.

As painful as the '90s were, we were nowhere near them & it would have hurt so much more if we told ourselves we were challenging with them. Instead we were concentrating more on getting 40 points or what fuck up was next round the corner.
I can sort of agree with that, I think I would lose that schadenfreude if they were languishing near the bottom of the table with all hope lost.
But its still frustrating seeing them quite so close to us in terms of league position knowing its only the PL, PGMOL and SKY that are putting them there.
They deserve mid table obscurity based on their ability, not top 4 and CL football.

As we live on Saints/Portsmouth border, my lad has grown up with both Pompey & Saints fans & he has stopped taking the piss out of them because it has become boring

Peps 1st season here & when it was going pear shaped he stuck to his principles, 4-0 at Everton, compared to Ten Bob who shat himself after the 6-3 & reverted to the tactics of Ollie
Ten Bob shat himself long before that.

After the first two games, when the rags lost to Brighton and Brentford, he opted for the long ball counter attack style.
