If you list all the teams in the league by GD they're currently sitting 14th. Bournemouth in 12th and Brentford in16th are also on -5 but have scored more goals. Everton in 17th are on -4.

To add to this... as of today, Luton Town have scored more goals than United despite having played one game less than they have. There are only two teams who have scored fewer goals than them and they are both rooted to the bottom of the league.
