Unfortunately United were never going to be shit forever, and whilst it will take a number of years to challenge City again, all this talk of a new stadium is a shame. Old Trafford my be the largest club ground in the country, but it's fucking shite. Ratcliffe may be the latest incumbent prick (albeit minority), but he's a serious operator and the fuckers are going to end up with a brand new state of the art 90,000 capacity stadium that the media will fawn over for years to come!!

(And the annoying travel to Wembley for semi-finals will be replaced by a trip to the rags lovely ground instead!)
Should we be worried now

They can have the deal we got with the Etihad, as their fans have been telling us how lucky we are for years.

Now I'm not an expert, but as far as I can see it goes something like this:

Give Old Trafford to the Council.
Let them build a basic £200m stadium on a site of their choosing.
Oh, and it's also an athletics stadium, which ultimately will cost you more money than you've saved.
And you can pay back the original sum over approx 30-35 years.
And you can continue paying rent after that.

This is scandalous that a billionaire living in a tax haven wants to use our money to rebuild the swamp. How on earth has he pass the pl fit and proper person ? He doesnt pay any uk tax but is happy to use ours fucking knobhead.

Hopefully the press/media are giving this the grief it deserves
a good tonguing is all the media are giving him

I wouldn’t hold your breath mate.

Financial Fair Play ???!!! Slating City yet the press and media getting all giddy and excited about the money those red shites will have to play with. The hypocrisy is off the scale but just what I expected....

He wants government money for the stadium (good luck with that), and to move FAC semis there, he needs FA agreement (good luck with that too).
2036 the FA deal with Wembley expires as well. I'd imagine it will be extended to cover the COVID shortfall in revenue.

Government money: that's our money. Any £ spent on the swamp is a £ not spent elsewhere. Against it on that basis and any proposal put forward for this funding has to be 100% transparent and open. Appreciate always a bigger picture but there's other infrastructure to invest in - £150 million needed to fix the RAAC in schools, investment in the nationwide youth academy that most would rather see then this project at a fraction of the proposed cost first.

If we're all bailing out a Ltd for a stadium that has been allowed to fall into disrepair so is no longer fit for purpose I want to know what we're dealing with, how it was allowed to happen and what mechanisms are in place to prevent it happening again? Oh and plans for revenue to come immediately back into the pubic purse rather then to the Ltd once operational.
