United Thread | 2024/25

United currently on target for a magnificent 42/43 points, with over 15% of the season already done. At the moment you’d be struggling to find any positives for them on potentially improving at all

The rags have had 4 clean sheets in 7 league games this season and we've had 1, sack Pep immediately and try to poach Ten Hag from them, this is unacceptable.
wasn’t quite sure but the fact they scored from a corner the previous game, I am down with this..

Brentford are going to absolutely fuck them
Not if they play the occasion they won't.

Same happened to Villa today, they played the occasion rather than the midtable fodder that was infront of them, and I've no doubt they'll make lightwork of most sides that go to Villa Park.

United are utterly awful, but they're a moments side, that are just trying to stay in a game until they get a free kick in range, or a lucky break.

Nearly worked for them today at Villa with the Bruno free kick.

I've got them down as finishing 9th at best, and that's if there isn't another side that has a surprise season that finishes above them.

City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and Brighton will all finish above them.

Then its a case of whether West Ham, Brentford or Fulham can be a surprise package.

The pundits all go on about how they can't equate this United with the successful rag sides under Ferguson. They really think they have a divine right to be at the top. They forget before the successful Ferguson period they went twenty six years without winning the title. They won the odd cup here and there like now. This season it will be eleven years since they've won the title. Tick tock.
